The food, which is served family style, is plentiful and very good. It was packed the Sunday we were there and several large tables had some overly loud people and one screaming child that made enjoying our food difficult. The waitstaff bustles to keep up with the demands for second helpings and refills on beverages, but they really do an admirable job.

Great food, left feeling so stuffed could hardly move. Server was absolutely fantastic. Don't usually come across restaurants like this.

This place was almost filled 20 minutes after we arrived at opening time. No wonder. The portions of excellent southern downhome food are gargantuan, served promptly with a smile, and followed by a bill you will think is from the 1950s!
Our party sampled widely from the menu and found NOTHING lacking. We are downhome people since birth ~ except for one person. Let's see, we had brown beans, green beans, real mashed potatoes with gravy, delectable fried chicken, to-die for pulled pork barbeque with your choice of 3 sauces on the side, fried chicken tenders, chicken and dumplin's, cole slaw and yummy country ham. Biscuits were served on the side. Plenty of drink choices including wine and beer. Wine list includes selections from nearby Chauteau Morrisette.
Charming decor. You feel like you are in a woodland lodge - well, maybe you are!

While touring the Blue Ridge Parkway. Some fellow tourists suggested going to Floyd, VA and eating at The Pine Tavern. We are traveling in a 24' class C RV, pulling a Jeep Wrangler. There is parking behind the tavern and we were able to find parking. I'm so glad we did. We purchased the family style meal and it was great. The fried chicken, mashed potato's and broccoli casserole were great.

Good southern food and plenty of it served family style. The fried chicken is a specialty. Food has been consistently good the two times we've dined at the restaurant. We will definitely return the next time we are in Floyd.
