“5star all the way!”
Reviewed April 12, 2014

Absolutely fabulous. My partner and I throughly enjoyed our meal out here. Very friendly staff, and plenty of staff ( unlike a pub we visited earlier in the week) We will be using this restaurant again for sure and definitely recommend for great food at a great price

Many thanks for taking the time to review your visit. Really glad you enjoyed your food and its great to know you'll be returning to the restaurant. Sorry you didn't have an enjoyable time when visiting the pub you mention in your review. Hope this didn't have to much of an effect on your trip to the area. Hope to see you again soon, take and care Ian and the Team xx

“Food cooked with passion and skill”
Reviewed April 10, 2014 via mobile

This is one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to outside of Italy! Chef Angi is an amazing woman and a truly gifted chef!!!! Ian the "boss" is a really wonderful young entrepreneur. The restaurant does not look like much from outside but when you try the food you will think you're in heaven! !! If you get a chance to dine here DO IT your taste buds will thank you for it!! Trust me I am a chubby chef and I will drive 200 miles to dine here again and see the wonderful team. Top notch nosh remember to tip they all deserve it ! Can't wait to go again !!

Many thanks for such a down to earth to the point review. Not so sure about the wonderful or young parts though ha ha. Really glad you enjoyed your food and your evening and many thanks for the comments about our staff. They are an excellent bunch and deserve a lot of praise i'm sure they will greatly appreciate your comments. As for the 200 mile drive, we open at six so if you set off now you should get to us in time. Thanks for your review again, take care and hopefully see you soon. Ian and the team xx

“Lovely Lovely Lovely”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

We ended a lovely weekend at the coast with a trip to Cosa Nostra to celebrate my other halfs birthday. We came because I had read all the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor and I am glad we did.

The staff were a little stretched as it was quite busy for a Sunday evening - but that didn't detract from our evening - If you are in a rush go to McDonalds!!

The staff were all really friendly and it felt like a family business - and it is so nice to see one doing well.

The food was lovely - fresh with plenty of choice on the menu - I even liked the reason why they didn't have the fillet steak for the other half - they don't freeze anything so don't over buy and that's good enough for me.

Everything was fresh and really good - generous portions which isn't always a good thing in some restaurants but we were able to take some garlic bread home for a midnight snack !

This is food made by people who obviously care and take a pride in what they do - thank you and long may it continue.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us your thoughts. On occasions during our off season unfortunately we do get caught of guard we a flurry of guests through the door and unfortunately this does lead to some delays in service. We would always hope that the wait it worth it and that the food delivered is the best it can be. Judging by your comments we achieved this during your visit. Thank you for being understanding on our absence of Fillet, as your review rightly says we never over buy as we shop daily as a restaurant in order to ensure you get the freshes products available. Really glad to read you had an enjoyable evening and your food was lovely. Take care and hope to see you again soon. Ian and the Team xx

“Family birthday”
Reviewed February 23, 2014 via mobile

9 of us visited on 11th jan and the food atmosphere service and value for money was out of this world. My mouth still waters at the taste of the food and the whole family enjoyed it even my 2yr old grandson who demolished his food.

Its really nice to know you had such a wonderful time with us in January. As a restaurant we try not to focus just on the food (although this is extremely important to us) we know that its not all that matters to our guests. I have confidence in saying we have a great bunch of staff that provide great service with a very down to earth approach and obviously this has being recognised in your review. Glad you had a great evening and hope to see you again soon. P.S we'll be closed January 2015 for refurbishment but Happy Birthday in advance. Take care and many thanks again Ian and the Team. xx

“Cosa Nostra - the Very Best of its Kind!”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

We have been going to the Cosa Nostra for a few years now and what started as a good restaurant, has evolved into a fabulous restaurant! The food is amazing, great value too, the quality and taste is top notch, the chef isn't afraid of flavours and the food is nicely presented. Cold Peroni on draft is a treat too, and they stock a selection of wines and spirits.
The sweets are great, but to be honest we rarely manage a sweet too as we love the savoury courses so much.
The owner and staff are friendly and fun, it's a great place to go, we would recommend it 100%, you can't beat it! Watch out for deals and special events too.
We visit the Cosa Nostra at the very least once a fortnight!
My advice is...make sure you go in hungry, because I can guarantee you'll come away full!
