Loved the sandwiches and eating outside on the patio surrounded by a blooming garden. Very cute place.

“Great Little Place for Lunch”
Reviewed August 9, 2014

Very cute, small, local restaurant just off the parkway. Small interior (only accomodates about 20 people) but they have another 5-6 tables outside in a nice patio. The food is really good, especially the bread and condiments (unque mayo blends). I highly recommend the Appalachian Trail Garden Burger with wasabi horseradish mayo (substitute). A really nice, unique alternative to fast-food for lunch if you are in the area. Highly recommend.
Positives: Healthy options and some unique selections and condiments. Desserts were homemade and delicious (chocolate chip cookie, lemon bar)

“Fun place for lunch”
Reviewed August 8, 2014

Food is good, love the atmosphere, service is friendly. Yummy desserts. This is a great stopping point when you're traveling on the Parkway. We drove up from Greensboro, NC just to see the sights along the way, but it's also a very convenient entry point to get on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Next door there's an antique store, and a garden center with lots of cute decorative items.
Absolutely worth the drive.

“Great place for lunch”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

The deli is right off the parkway and offers a good lunch menu. They mainly offer sandwiches but have salad, soups, and desserts. The only downside is that it is small and you may run into a crowd during the tourist season. After you eat, you can take in some antique shopping next door and there is also a garden shop with many items next door to the antique shop. All well within walking distance.

“Unexpeted gem off of the Blueridge Parkway.”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

If you are in the Fancy Gap area (Parkway mile marker 200) do not miss this quaint little deli. Everything is home made. The meatloaf sandwich was excellent. Great service, good selection and very reasonable prices. What more can you ask for?
