Rabieng is around the corner (same strip mall) from its more established partner Duangrats. but we prefer Rabieng. We're pretty much been happy with whatever we've ordered. Dumplings, quail, various noodle dishes, chicken basil and more have all been good. Service is quiet and excellent. Prices are average, but some signature dishes are a bit pricey. We've been going here off and on for years. This place is better than your average neighborhood Thai place, and worth a modest drive to try.

I went to this restaurant on a Friday evening. It was busy but not crowded. Service was excellent. They didn't hover, but were quick to refill drinks and bring the check. The food was excellent- hot fresh and flavorful. Portions were generous. Price was low. Atmosphere was almost romantic but casual enough that well behaved children were accepted. Overall a great time.

Rabieng has consistently excellent food, divided into several regional specialties. The restaurant is located near Duangrat's but is much smaller, and much much quieter. An excellent place for a great meal along with great coversation as you can actually hear everyone at your table.
The chicken horapa entree is wonderful, as are the chili cashews (appetizer).

The first time I ever had Pad Thai, it was at Rabieng. And it RUINED me for all other Pad Thai! I haven't found it anywhere else that was as yummy as Rabieng's, and I've tried and tried. I think the secret is the sauce: It's a lovely red color, it has a wonderful sweetness to it, and there's lots of it. The only thing I've ever eaten at Rabieng is the Chicken Pad Thai, so I can't speak to the other dishes, but based on the reviews here, it looks like other offerings are delicious, too. The decor isn't that exciting, but who cares? You're there for the food!

Rabieng is part of a small group of businesses, owned by the same people, at this location. (There's the very excellent, near-legendary "Duangrat's Thai Restaurant," around the corner, for fancier--and more expensive--Thai food, and "Duangrat's Grocery," next door to Rabieng.)

Rabieng, itself, is a narrow, cozy place (mostly well-worn booths, along one side)--although a set of rear stairs leads up to additional seating. Parking is right out front, just off Route 7.

Service is straight-faced--nothing chatty--but prompt and efficient. The overall atmosphere of the place is relaxed and informal--even a little bit hole-in-the-wall.

But, ahhh, the food! I'm nearly ruined for eating Thai anywhere else. (Often, I try out another Thai restaurant--only to end up staring at my plate, thinking how it would've been done at Rabieng.) Vegetables taste fresh, the spices seem a little "brighter" (if you like your curry "hot," they'll definitely give you hot!), and noodle dishes are moist, without being greasy or all clumped together. The prices are modest--terrific, actually, when I sometimes end up contemplating one of their dishes for days afterward.
