A former co-worker took me to Haandi after a hike on Old Rag. We were both starving, so got paneer panang, daal with naan, and a shrimp dish. It was all excellent & perfectly seasoned/spiced. We got a bottle of Josh cabernet, which I've never had before, and it was ok. Something bolder would have probably worked better. I'd love to go back; one of the best Indian restaurants I've tried.

I went to Haandi again after a fairly long absence. This time we went for the dinner offerings (their buffet has always been very very good!) . The quality has not changed.

White table cloths, shiny clear glasses, and cutlery and attentive waiters. This is a surprising fine dining experience in the middle of a strip mall. We took a friend from out of town for dinner at the Haandi. The ambiance is very conducive to conversation and convivial dining. We were seated immediately - it was a weekday evening.

We ordered the mixed grill of various type of roasted meats including skewers of kebabs. The volume of food in the entree priced at $21.95 is too large for one person and I would advise sharing it with another as part of a larger meal. The meat was roasted and tender on the inside and the food was server piping hot at the table. We also had the potato and spinach curry (Aloo Saag) and accompanied them with naans. My wife had the masala tea - a spicy tea fortified with milk and sugar.

The restaurant is priced well for fine dining but if you want to taste the same food at bargain prices, visit their lunch buffets! We did not sample the liquor or beverage offerings.

Havent been to haandi for months.. Everything was really really good. Lamb chops, murg Tikka Masala and tandoori salmon were few to name. It was very busy night, food came out right on time. Mr. khan was very attentive and was very helpful. Our water glass never got empty. We will be back soon after our vaccation.

We hadn't been to Haandi for years, but our outstanding Indian place (Punjab Dhaba) is no more, and we are looking for reliably good Indian food. We remembered Haandi for its tandoori salmon, and we were not disappointed on our return. We noted a long table of Indian diners when we entered, and it was indeed a good sign. The salmon was as good as we remembered, and the other tandoori items on the mixed grill were also good, especially the ground lamb. A shrimp dish was perfectly cooked and well spiced. Oddly, the most disappointing item was the Naan, which was only okay. Service was excellent until the end when the restaurant thinned out and getting the check paid took longer than it should. A minor miscue. Overall, we were quite happy enough with our return to Haandi, and we plan another visit in the very near future.

We generally liked the buffet, but definitely had to prompt them to refill the chicken in the sauces. Also, the flavors were distinct but more bland than spicy, perhaps to not deter more timid palates. The place was packed during lunch, but they were also accommodating to a family with an infant. For the price, definitely try here during lunch during the week instead of for dinner or on a weekend.
