“not happy with my experience :(”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

we read all great reviews about this restaurant and decided to go there for dinner. the food was not what we expected as it was too bland for all of us and had no taste. the service was nice but the value for money that we paid was definitely not worth it.

“Outstanding Indian”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

This restaurant, located on Leesburg Pike, has several redeeming qualities - great, authentic Indian food, good wines at reasonable prices, and truly outstanding service. Highly recommended. Its good to see good Indian restaurants popping up around the metro DC area.

“Excellent Indian cuisine”
Reviewed June 7, 2012

I am from England originally and grew up frequently eating Indian food; indeed I was there only last week continuing the tradition. Indian restaurants have never really taken off to such an extent in the US but this establishment is enough to change all of that. Four of us shared several dishes, and each one seemed better than the other. A really exceptional dinner.

“Best Chicken Tikka Masala in NOVA”
Reviewed June 6, 2012

We are new fans of Raaga, who arguably have the best Chicken Tikka Masala in NOVA. The sauce has a great smokey flavor we've not typically found in other masalas. Samosas and the Ragda patties appetizers were also very good. They also claim to have one of the areas only charcoal-fired clay ovens still in use (since the fire codes changed in 2001 which prevent new ones from being built/used). It's apparent by the quality of their naans, roti and grilled meat. Service was very attentive, but not overly so, as we lingered to chat after our meal without pressure. When we want Indian Food, we've often made the trip into DC to go to Heritage. However, Raaga makes a great alternative.

“Delicious food. Attentive staff.”
Reviewed April 28, 2012

We enjoyed our meal at Raaga Restaurant and will return. The staff was welcoming. The food was very good. Surprisingly, our waiter was reluctant to make any menu suggestion so we were left on our own to sort through the many items on the menu. We had Ragda Patties as an appetizer since they were noted as a house specialty. We also ordered Chicken Nilgiri, Yellow Dal and Herb Naan. Our waiter cautioned us that the dal would be quite spicy. We didn't find it so. In fact the Chicken Nilgiri was significantly more spicy, but delicious. Throughout the meal the staff was attentive, kept the water glasses filled and checked with us from time to time to assure that our needs were being met. An older man, possibly the owner, stopped by to confirm that we were enjoying our food. The restaurant is quiet and attractive. Raaga Restaurant sits back a bit from Leesburg Pike so you have to look for it if you are not familiar with the Bailey's Crossroads area.
