Had an special occasion dinner at 2941. A bit tricky to locate in the ground floor of an office building; but they have valet parking. The setting overlooks a lake and there is a water feature pond and waterfall just outside the cocktail lounge.
The food is definitely special with a real variety of dishes. We had a strip steak, but it was definitely not your typical. Tasted great. Excellent wine, unusual salad, and amazing desserts. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Pricey, yes, but it is a 5 star kind of place. Definitely recommend for after-work get together or a special occasion.

This is the kind of place some love and others don't. I'm in the later category. Food not great and snobby, unfriendly service.

This is a pretty restaurant that is near Tyson's Corner, yet you feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle. The wine list is extensive, the entrees are good. It is also a nice place for client functions or special occasions.

2941 is a first-class restaurant. Every dish from Chef Chemel's kitchen is perfection on a plate and the woodsy setting beside a lake, with tall glass walls and a koi pond, is spectacular. You can choose from a simply delicious all-American burger to a special tuna tartare with Grand Marnier dressing or a creamy smooth goat cheese risotto. The Maine lobster roll is great if you want a sandwich; the smoked duck breast hits the spot if you're looking for something more substantial. The menu changes but always has great favorites alongside wonderfully inventive fare. The "never say never" desserts are amazing. Pastry chef Caitlin Dysart was recently nominated for Food and Wine's "The People's Best New Pastry Chef 2013." So, if you go, don't miss the sweet stuff. And do go! You won't find anything better in DC.

This is a very-nice restaurant, with a great sommelier. My wife and I had a four-course meal and all of the course offered good technique and great flavors. By far the calamari and tuns tartare were the best. The calamari is crisp, but not greasy. The tuna tartare comes on-top of guacamole which adds to the creaminess and the kick of the added jalapeño was excellent. This place is very good!
