We dined with friends while visiting from out of town. We had lived in this area before and had visited Sfizi once before. The owner is a real Italian as witnessed by my friend who spoke fluent Italian with him during the evening. The prices are right and the atmosphere casual but very nice. In season, outdoor dining on the sidewalk terrace is a nice added option. Both the pasta and meat dishes were very good and the specials are usually a good option. The night we went one was lamb chops grilled which were really good as was the pasta with spicy langustino sauce. The house salad is a bit simple, so if you really want a good salad as a first course, order one from the salad options vice the house salad. The wines are a very good value since the place is also a wine shop. Select the wine in the shop, pay wine shop price plus a $10 corkage fee to consume at the table. This comes much cheaper than most restaurant wine lists and Sfizi boasts a wide range if Italian wines to boot. Finally, you can take the rest of the bottle home after dinner making the wine by the glass option unnecessary. A good option if you are seeking quality Italian food at reasonable prices.

This is our second time at Sfizi and we were generally pleased. The main courses are delicious and authentic. We had great table service except we nearly had to hold onto our plates to keep the eager bus boys from taking away our dinner. That would be my main criticism. The house salad is nothing to write home about. Try an antipasta salad- much more interesting and filling.

The seafood pasta is as good as I have had anywhere. Actually, everything on the menu we have tried is first rate. Prices are also good for the quality of the dishes and are actually no more than at some lower level Italian restaurants. It's the best restaurant in the area.

Falls Church doesn't have much variety in cuisines so Sfizi Cafe is a much needed and welcome atmosphere! The ambience is lovely and the food is simply outstanding. The staff and owner really make you feel welcome and they are so passionate about their offerings. Their wine list is very extensive that the owner really takes pride in giving wine tastings or explaining the different choices that would complement your meal and all at very reasonable prices! This place has become our regular almost weekly place to dine!

My husband and I have eaten at Sfizi's several times and find the food good but service not always great. We recently went with some friends and asked for separate checks by couples and were refused, but told that each couple could use their credit card. The final bill was split among the several couples. We resented this. My husband and I are light eaters, my husband is diabetic and I suffer from other health problems. We do not order appetizers since we are light eaters, and no drinks or wine because of health reasons. Our friends always have drinks and sometimes follow with wine, appetizers, dessert and coffee. We had salad and a main entrée only. We ended up paying a portion of those friends' meals since the restaurant policy is no separate checks. I plan to call the owner and make a complaint. If this is standard policy for Sfizi with no separate checks, we will not return. If this is a waiter exercising his authority, then he should be fired.
