Review of Burger 7

First, the B7 sauce was actually less than desirable, almost strange. Burgers were okay but nothing special; the opportunity to put close to two dozen different toppings on was pretty neat. Hot dog was tiny and unspectacular, and the cheese toppings were just a slice put on top and nothing melted. Fries were indeed fresh-cut, but bland to the point of almost being boring. Best deal on the menu is the kids meal, which gives you a burger, fries, and a drink.

This burger joint boasts gourmet burgers and fries with a friendly family atmosphere. At times you crave burgers and fries but feel really guilty after eating it! Well with burger 7 the food was fresh, unprocessed and having the option of wheat bread certainly makes the guilt go away. Not to mention the burgers wonderful taste.

It may be all natural, grass fed beef, but if there is so much salt to make it inedible, it doesn't matter. Fries may be fresh cut, but if lukewarm, it doesn't matter. Free toppings are nice, but if the hot dog is the thickness of your finger, it doesn't really matter. Only reason for two stars instead of one is a good milkshake. And if you are touting all natural,
grass fed, fresh cut, organic milk in the shakes, premium ingredients, how does Coke fit
into that scheme?

Restaurant Top 10:
1. Website: http://burgerseven.com
2. Burger Joint is in Idylwood Plaza. Parking is plentiful.
3. Hours: Daily 1100-2230
4. Line moved reasonably well; buzzing pager lets you know when your order is ready
5. not a huge joint: booths and a bar stool area
6. menu available online // many of the ingredients are organic
7. each burger patty is 3.5 ounces; B7 sauce is served on ALL burgers unless you ask for it to be omitted; lots of free toppings to choose from
8. Nice tray of condiments at each table: ketchup, mustard, ketchup, Tabasco, Heinz 57 sauce
9. Gluten Free friendly (Offering large lettuce leaves to wrap burger in)
10. The ‘Wylie Wagg’ health food store for dogs and cats next door was worth a look

Our menu items (with ratings): Burgers (rating 3.5); sweet potato fries (rating 4); regular fries (rating 2—left virtually untouched); strawberry shake--bits of strawberry in it was a nice touch (rating 3)

What we liked: Door handle was a number 7…Order taken with a smile…lettuce leaf option

What we disliked: afraid for this family of 4 our go-to favorites in the DC area for burgers/dogs remain: Good Stuff Eatery; Five Guys; and Ben’s Chili Bowl
