We've been to Pie-tanza several times for lunch and never been disappointed. They specialize in thin-crust, European style pizza and their pies are way above average, with very fresh ingredients and a light turn in the wood-fired oven. Their Margherita is excellent and well-priced at $13.00. But they also have some terrific appetizers, sandwiches and salads. Last visit, I had an order of "Tomato Bread"--a kind of bruschetta with savory tomato topping--that was huge and delicious. Half of it came home and was dinner. Their "small" regular salad was also very fine.
Beer and wine are on the menu and they serve a mean Coca Cola that is tall enough to be banned in NYC and has the taste of the real thing.
Pie-tanza is a real find in the less-than-beautiful two-mile strip mall that forms this part of Fall Church Virginia.
