This apartment did not disappoint; it was nicely decorated and in a beautiful neighborhood of friendly people The location was great for us to tour the sights on Capitol Hill and it was only a 12-minute walk to Union Station, which is why I chose this place, since we were traveling by Amtrak. It's about the same distance to go to the Eastern Market for fresh meats, etc., or to catch a Metro.
There is a little grocery store nearby that also sells beer and wine, as well as several restaurants on nearby Massachusetts Ave. which we didn't try. After being in hotels for almost two weeks, it was nice to be able to make a meal at "home" in the well-equipped kitchen. Charlotte provided a Keurig machine with coffee, tea, and hot cider, as well as hot chocolate, oatmeal, and an instant mac 'n' cheese. There was also a can of Progresso soup, which we enjoyed.
Charlotte and her housekeeper were very nice to work with and I would stay here again when visiting Washington, DC.
One piece of advice is to be very careful when moving around in the bedroom. My husband and I both had banged-up knees from the sharp edges of the bed frame.
