“The home of the 5+ hour round”

Penderbrook Golf Club
Attraction details

The layout at Penderbrook is decent and the course is in good shape. The pace of play, however, is untenable. They crank golfers through at a pace that ensures having to wait for the group in front of you on every single, shot tee to green. We actually quit at the five hour mark....we were waiting on the tee box at number 15 and presumed another hour+ to finish. Never again!

Played Penderbrook GC during a Golf Tournament. Back when, it was beautiful and well maintained. Today, its run down, and needs tons of work on the fairways and greens. The community around Penderbrook has matured and the course has seen better days. Several years ago, you could play a round during the week for $45.00, which included breakfast and lunch. When a course tosses those in, they need the customers regardless what shape the course is in.

Note: Penderbrook does send my emails about specials and so on, if you don't have that email, they will not discount nothing.

This privately owned 18 hole course is open to the public, and runs from 5760 for the White to 6150 for the Blue. It is easy to reach by car, not far from the main Highway 50. The weekday, afternoon rate is extremely reasonable.

This course is very scenic, quite hilly, with lots of water in varying dimensions; all of which makes makes for an very challenging outing. Be advised to bring lots of golf balls or a ball retriever !

Our golf cart left something to be desired; carts are gasoline powered. Ours probably needed a tune up; the gasoline smell was quite overpowering for the entire 18 holes, and the cart struggled and strained to negotiate the hilly terrain. We certainly would golf here again. Just might ask to try another cart.
