“good comfort food”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

Pulled pork was great! Lots of choices to make. Attendants were accommodating and checked food trays often. Since much is comfort food and starchy, for healthy choices, be conscious of the food pyramid when choosing food. Great value for the price!

“Great find!”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

We were looking for an almost "fast food" dinner...quick but no in a bag! OUr GPS took us to what was supposed to be a Western Sizzlin...it was gone and Carolina BBQ & Chicken had taken over. One look in the full parking lot showed three police cars and a fire truck. That was enough for me! We went in to find a tremendous BBQ/southern food buffet. It was Saturday evening and the place was hopping! Food was turning over quickly - everything was fresh and hot!
We planned our return trip to make another stop there on our way back home!
Great Find!

“Southern Hospitality and Southern Comfort Food!”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

The sweet tea is too good to pass up!!! The fried chicken taste like the chicken my grandmother use to make back in the day, delicious. The corn, green beans, mashed potatoes (the real deal) were absolutely wonderful!!! And I'm a picky eater :-) My husband loves the collard greens and lima beans. We all enjoyed the yeast rolls. Not to impressed with the desserts or the variety, but that's ok the buffet was good and reasonably priced for the weekend. Our waitrees Cindy.......EXCELLENT!! Our tea glass was always full, never empty or close to empty. Not a five star fancy spot, but food is great so come ready to eat!

“Hidden jewel”
Reviewed August 8, 2012

Stopped at this buffet instead of other restaurants in the area, and had mixed reviews. My dad and I both love southern comfort food and enjoyed having an authentic meal. That night's special was frog legs--tastes like a mix of chicken and fish..not too bad! My sister and mom weren't as thrilled since they are used to New England style cooking, but they still thought it wasn't bad. Our waitress was the definition of southern hospitality and was hands on the entire time. It's not 5 star cuisine but down home, country cooking. Avoid if you're on a diet, because although they have a salad bar, the other items are tempting. You can tell that this is where the locals go and that most tourists opted for the cracker barrel or applebees next door. True southern establishment.

“Good southern cookin”
Reviewed July 19, 2012 via mobile

Get the sweet tea. But not if you are a diabetic. lol. Barbecue chicken was my favorite. Mashed tators and chicken gravy. Don't forget the yeast rolls. Dessert was the strawberry shortcake. Again, not if you are a diabetic. Definitely will eat here again
