We stayed in Slopeside. We discovered after day 3 that our outer door did not lock! Others on our block checked their doors and discovered their locks did not work either.
Even though we had a lock card we learned we had spent 3 days with a grand child and with valuables in our room that the locks don't work. When maintenance came up they said yeh, it's a flaw. It can take up to 5 minutes to lock - if it locks at all. Sorry.
The response from the front desk showed no concern. Although we have come to horseshoe multiple times we will never return. The attitude of management is deplorable.

We stayed for a Sunday night.
Very friendly service and clean rooms. Had a great time.
Hot tub, sauna and pool were refreshing. Could have stayed longer!

Great place for a family fun day or night! We went for the night and stayed at the hotel which was clean and had comfortable beds! The indoor pool was heated and hot tub was great! Loved the outdoor pool as the weather was great!
My kids loved the man made lake and so did I! They had stand up paddle boards as well as sit down ones, their wasca trampoline and a blow up slide in the middle of the lake. Everyone needed to wear a life jacket so if you have your own bring them as they ram out a few times and it was a short wait till someone returned there's. Muskoka Chairs and lounge chairs are free to
Use but get taken fast when it's nice out. Pack a lunch and drinks in a cooler if you can asbitvwill save you money and wasted time to get food.
They also had rock climbing for kids, jumping castle, lifesize checkers and chest games.
The slide down the hill was slot of fun. It was $35 a person unlimited or with our hotel package free. You go up the chair lift, get off at the top, grab a tube and walk a few minutes down a steep hill (wear good flip flops as you can slide on the tiny stone way). Once you get to the slide ensure your tube is hard as the soft tub when you sit you will hit the bottom as you go down and get badly bruised like I did. You need to be at least 44inches in height to ride.
Everything closes a 6pm which is a downfall. We got a beaver tail at 5:55pm and then went to have dinner. Beaver tails were great but it should stay open
Later as well as the restaurant outdoors. 6pm was way to early to close!!! All in all we had lots of fun and would definitely go back!!!

Left an item behind and notified hotel within an hour of leaving. They were not helpful and put no effort into retrieving the item. Very disappointed with the service. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel.

Horseshoe resort is only about an hour’s drive from Toronto. It is a ski resort in the winter and a bike park in the summer. There are no big mountains here and the slopes are pretty mild. Compared to Whistler, the bike selection is extremely limited. There are only two kinds of bikes for rent, one for downhill and the other for cross country. Safety equipment is limited to helmets, shin and elbow guards.

It was nevertheless a nice drive from Toronto. Biking was also very pleasant. The resort is also very kid friendly.

We had planned the trip for months (prebooked) for a spa bath with a fireplace & received a standard room, inquired about it and were told that the manager was gone so "sorry". We arrived early and I checked in asking for a call when the room was ready (we sat in the car)... no call came. 2 1/2 hours later we called to check on the status of our room "oh yeah, it's ready"! The service was absolutely deplorable (especially the Asian night manager)! I would strongly recommend NOT going to Horseshoe Valley!!! After 2 months of (agressive) inquiry, we received a $67.68 refund on a nearly $800 bill... disappointed and disgusted!!!

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is nice. The room and the bathroom are wide and comfy. It is not in the best condition- some cracks at the sink and so on.
When we arrived the bedding weren't clean and the next day they forgot to clean our room. Even though, we will glad to stay there again, because the people at the desk were very nice and helpful, the pool is good (and its fun after a ski day) and the ski is perfect with kids- not too difficult, not too far and we loved the music at the site !!

It was I and kids (teenage and preteen) 1st time trip to visit. Even though this place is long time popular destination, place don’t have enough parking, seating for cafeteria (furniture/atmosphere is terrible had no ski resort feeling) everything long line to get ticket/service it feels like place are not organized. But staff are nice and helpful. I probably won’t go again.

we went on a family ski trip. It was so exciting. The kids loved the hotel and loved the ski hills even more.
The whole area is family friendly
The rooms were nice updated since our last visit a few years back. The ski hills same as last time. we all used all the hills, some ski lifts, moved fast others were a little slow. Runs were groomed well. Just not very long runs but just good enough for the kids.
