“Enjoy the train whistling as you eat seafood along the water's edge”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

Food is consistently good. Service consistently good. The overall cleanliness could use some improvement. GREAT, fun, family friendly environment. Watch as the water taxi brings boaters in for chow and a beer. Eat and watch the kids play in the sand. Hear the trains go by and blow their whistles. A DIFFERENT experience...love to go here to eat seafood.

“Tim's River Shore is fun, funky, quirky and classic all at once!”
Reviewed July 29, 2014

A classic crab joint complete with brown paper on the tables, mallets for crab-whacking and crabs by the dozen. The waitress was helpful and prompt and we had such a nice time on a rather off-season day. Sunny and nice place to be with comfortable chairs. My friends raved about the onion rings and about the crab-stuffed mushrooms. We feasted with crabs by the dozen. Our fault for coming when they are not at peak season but they were small but OK. Love all of the old pictures on the wall, the kitchy accents like the mermaid with a green mustache, a devil's head with a paintbrush handle tongue sticking out of it, and old brand names from power boats on the walls. So much fun to look and enjoy the visual feast. It was a nostalgic trip for one of our group who used to dine there with her family when the kids were young.

“By water, get some sun, a few drinks, live music, and some food”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

My wife had a couple Watermelon Freezes, I had a couple Walking the Planks, as we stopped here on a boat ride. We ate some peel your own shrimp and a couple side salads as we didn't have a lot of time. That's why I'm not addressing the food much...shrimp fine, salads ok. $54,25 plus tax & tip. Great place to sit in the sun and hang out. Some of the kids even going in the water. They had some live music playing on the pier while we were there which was nice, too.

“Beautiful View and great food!”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

This place is located on the Potomac River and has testy seafood of all kinds. I ate the fried shrimp which was a large portion cooked just right. Now this is a local hangout so the ambiance isn't that of a 5 star restaurant. You get good food and a great view right on the river with a lot of local casual flavor.
