Historic, very well done, excellent food! What a great place to visit. And every Friday night is wine and music!

Just back from a visit to the New River Trail. Always have to stop at the Draper Mercantile for a bite to eat and a walk about the store. This time, we bought a couple of great sandwiches and some heritage music CDs. Came back at night for dinner and an in-store concert. Loved it all. Will be back.

This is a great place to shop and to get lunch. I discovered this place to eat when I was working nearby. The soups are home made on the spot served in a crock pot and you help yourself! There are little tasting cups provided to try before you eat. There is a slice of home made bread white or whole grain with the meal included. I was impressed with the price, helpfulness of the staff. It was like going back 50 years in time and for someone near I81 Draper exit swing on by and get a taste of good cooking. Other items are available to eat and the country store is just fun to browse around. It is about a mile off the exit.
