We left Kings Dominion at 10:00pm with two tired kids. Headed straight out of the park, across the traffic lights and straight into the La Quinta parking lot (there is also a Burger King on the same street that is open after the theme park closes).
I was greeted warmly by the two gentlemen working reception, and they had me registered in under a minute. I haven't experienced such efficiency in 5 star hotels.
We had a double queen which was plenty of room for our family. The bathroom was a nice size, with a long vanity (great!) and the shower pressure was awesome. Beds were comfy. Only downside were too-soft pillows and the duvets or comforters were stained but everything else was clean and tidy.
Hotel was pretty quiet considering there must have been a bunch of families staying there. I was awake a lot during the night (not La Quintas fault) and heard a train in the distance but it wouldn't have been loud enough to wake even a light sleeper like me.
Breakfast was great. Eggs, sausage patties, waffles, bagels, cereal, toast, muffins, danish. Staff refilled and were in evidence the whole time if you needed anything.
Check-out was as easy as check-in.
Will definitely stay here again if we visit the park. Thank you La Quinta.More
