Delaphane Cellars is a must if you are in this area. The tasting room is wonderful, fun, and inviting. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. The wine choices were great, and we had great laughs.

The tasting room at Delaplane Cellars has a gorgeous, clean, sophisticated look that lends itself well to the beautiful views. I only liked one of the wines in my tasting (the sauv blanc) but taste is subjective so don't let that stop you from giving this place a try if you haven't already.

We love coming to Delaplane Cellars. Their beautiful tasting room, the views, and the wonderful wines and food keep us coming back again and again. The just-released 2016 white wines are an exceptional vintage year, and the aged reds are superb, too. As reviewed in the May issue of Washingtonian magazine, this winery doesn't allow visitors under age 21 or groups of more than six people, so it's a more refined, elegant vibe in the tasting room. To accompany the great wines, we always order the Virginia Sampler food platter which features local cheeses and sausage that seem to complement the wines perfectly. It makes sense--they're made in the same locale as the grapes. And the cellar bread is the best bread anywhere!

The pourer was knowledgeable and friendly. The wines were excellent.
The whites are not sweet and the reds are dry and flavorful. The views are spectacular. Enjoy with a glass of wine and a bread and cheese plate.

As the weather was beautiful on a February day, this winery was a buzz with people. The bar was packed but they were able to squeeze me and a couple in once someone moved. They had six wines to try, two whites and four reds. None were particularly sweet but all had nice flavor and body. I left with a bottle of Viognier which had a nice neutral flavor and would pair with anything. Not a bad tasting overall.
