Danville Virginia is rich in history and this is where you can find out all about those times gone by with various exhibitions and always a current artist on show. Great staff and well worth your time!

Well maintained civil war historical site-last capital of the confederacy. Must see for historians.Educational trip for youngsters. Excellent guides who are knowledgeable. Small gift shop inside. Also has a rotating art exhibit for those who are interested.

Joyce led us on a 90 minute walking tour of the fantastic age of Danville's tobacco and textile mansions. Sharing secrets of each home or church she was vivacious and entertaining. She was also able to arrange an inside the mansion tour at one home where the owner shared their restoration experiences.

A must tour!

Excellent set up for information on the mansion and the work of arts. Also had a lot of information on other attractions in the area. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

I'm a native of Danville and when I was in school, this building was used as a library. It was a pleasant suprise when I stopped by on a recent trip and saw that it was not a beautiful museum. The staff has gone to great lengths to preserve the history of Danville and the tour guide was excellent in pointing out the history of Danville. I would highly recommend a visit here when you are not rushed.
