“Not quite ready in new location”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2014

It has recently moved to a new location next to the Amtrak station and doesn't seem ready. There isn't much there, much less than was there in the past. The staff hadn't even learned what the children were allowed to do or not allowed to do. It made for a short and frustrating visit. Even the antique cash register, which had provided lots of entertainment to the kids was not yet plugged in.

“The old Cabin is worth seeing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2014

It is your typical small town museum with well thought out displays showing items of local importance. If you have the time and looking for some local history and insight, definitely pay this place a visit.

“Small but Mighty”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

The Culpeper museum is small but well worth the effort. It provides an understanding of the town's historical importance especially during the Civil War. The staff is friendly and helpful. Ask them anything. If they don't know; they'll find out.

“Interesting bit of history for the small town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2013

I took my children there for a homeschool field trip. Entrance fee is low and if you are a resident of Culpeper it is free.

It was fascinating to read and see the history of the small town of Culpeper and the museum even traced the dinosaur population of the area.

I have been to several small museums for small towns and this was one of the better ones indeed!
