Owner description: Stinson Vineyards is a family run boutique vineyard located at the scenic foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. Nestled in "downtown" White Hall, the winding driveway boasts some of the area's best views. A repurposed garage winery combines modern architecture and equipment with traditional winemaking techniques.

This place is simply wonderful. A little gem of a tasting room, pretty and welcoming, if small, and really nice tasting associates that are willing to help and advise, but also willing to give you the time and privacy to discuss each wine as you taste. I don't even much like chardonnay, but theirs is absolutely terrific. The views from the patio are gorgeous and the nearby garden in the summer is really stunning. I've been to about 80 wineries to date and this is one of my very favorites. Highly recommended.

We love the little jewel that is Stinson Vineyards. To review now after the hectic busy season we would like to report that this year our guests loved Stinson and voted them one of the favorites. It's a small family run winery with an eye for great wines.

This is one of the few wineries in our area that has glassed the winery side so while tasting you can look through and see the barrels and the cement "egg" and ask questions as to what's going on.

The wines are elegant and among our favorites!

Best Views of any winery we've visited so far in Virginia.
Patio overlooks hills of grapes and 8 mountain peaks.
The owners are super friendly and the wine is good.
Romantic spot for a sunset picnic.

We were told that this place was small and not a well-patronized winery -- so we decided to give it a shot thinking we found a hidden treasure.

Yeah -- we found out why it wasn't well-patronized.
The wine was average, but the service was less than interested. It almost seemed like we had interrupted their lazy Sunday afternoon -- and we were the ONLY ones in their at the time.

I've patronized well over 60 wineries in Virginia -- and many more in Washington, Ohio, California (both Napa and Temeculah) and even in Australia.... this one definitely ranks as "unimpressive".

Parking: Ample. There was no one there.
Seating: Some comfortable chairs and couches outside.
Tasting room: Simple and small. Nothing grandiose, but not a shack.
Service: Bored and boring. It seemed like we were in their way.
Wines: Can't recall anything as "striking" or "noteworthy". Bought a bottle b/c I felt maybe it would taste better elsewhere.
Grounds: Simple. Outdoor seating was next to the country road.

Do yourself a favor - enjoy White Hall and Grace Estates before stopping at this dive.

A friend told me about Stinson Vineyard, it is very small, however they have the best Chardonnay I have ever tasted. It is so smooth and clean and flavorful. It is a must is you love white wine.
I'm sure the reds are just as good.
