The Buckhorn Inn is a memorable place to be. The hosts are friendly and put you at ease. The food is satisfying and the menu gives plentiful options in case you prefer a lighter or a heavier breakfast. A white bathrobe and two pairs of white slippers are provided for comfort while you are there. Slippers are just one of the little comforts...great chocolate waiting in your room, nice fire places with instant warmth, and eclectic decorations including some antique lamps and furniture, which make each room unique and interesting. The place is just over 200 years old, character is an understatement. If you live in Harrisonburg, or near there, this place is only a 30 minute drive away, yet you still feel like you have really left home. An extra benefit is traveling within Augusta County to get there. The farms and rolling hills prepare you to leave your home and all the responsibilities of normal life behind. Try it for yourself. You might find many other great aspects that we didn't even see!
