If you want to sleep in an old dirty hotel without fitted sheets and no blanket and no clock and if for breakfast you want old english muffin and a plastic wrapped hiney bun then you should stay here.

The room was spotless. Front deck staff was very friendly. AC and bathroom van are very loud. Beds are hard as a rock, 1 flat pillow per person and a thin blanket (nice not to be buried under a comforter like other places insist on). Ours had new carpet/fixtures/wallpaper.

This Super 8 gave us just about everything we needed for an overnight stay on our way south. The room was clean, bed was firm and comfy, bathroom clean, quiet, WiFi, etc. The drawbacks are its tawdry look...the abandoned building in the middle of the parking lot as well as some construction equipment parked there and that breakfast was just OK, danish, cereal, etc. We had a no pet, non-smoking room and there were no bad smells. The desk clerk said that the owner lives on the property and that keeps it quiet. We didn't notice a pool though some reviews said there is one???

Room Tip: Our room was in the back left corner and was quie.

We stayed several nights. The room was clean and everything worked. The room was well-lit and pretty good sized (some motels are tiny, but this was a pretty normal size room). There were some extras for a budget hotel--coffee maker, fridge and microwave in the room, shampoo and conditioner in bottles. Wireless internet worked well.

The room decor is nothing special, but no worse than many hotels. The only downside is that the furnishings are starting to show a bit of wear. The worst part in our room were stains on the chairs, but the room really seemed very clean otherwise. The bed was fine, though of course not the luxury pillow-top at higher end places.

Housekeeping does a good job, but seems to work limited hours, so we missed having the room cleaned if we were in during the morning.

Breakfast is very simple but acceptable, and the breakfast room was the most run-down part of the motel. Choices included: danishes, English muffins, coffee, tea, orange juice, frosted flakes, raisin bran clusters. It never seemed crowded.

There was plenty of parking. Most guests seem to come late and leave early, but there was not a lot of noise, and the rooms are all set back a bit off of the main road enough that there was not much road noise.

Overall, the owners seem to want to provide a good stay, and have made efforts to keep the place nice without making it more expensive. If so, they have succeeded. A good choice if you don't need anything fancy, or a business center, meeting rooms, or exercise room on site.

This hotel was a great deal with discount, and the microwave and fridge really came in handy for the 'extra food' (carry out). The location is quite good because of proximity to the bypass (to Blacksburg) and I-81 highway. Breakfast was very basic, but it was quite adequate for a quick bite. If you are looking for a hotel in the Christiansburg, Radford, Blacksburg area, you should seriously consider this one for an excellent value.
