We have been going regularly to the Village every time we vacation in Chincoteague over the last 5 -10 years. It used to be a place we could count on for very good seafood. However, this last time was a little disappointing. The crab imperial was too heavy on the cream sauce and the flounder was tasteless. The service was not up to par as compared to many of our earlier visits. It was not because we were there during Thanksgiving week because we have been there many times at this same week. They have redone some of the inside and always good to see the ownership reinvest back into the business. It is just that it seemed to have taken a step backwards in the food department.

My wife had the seafood surprise. Lots of crab meat, shrimp, and scallops so large they had to be cut in half with a melted cheese topping. I had the stuffed tomatoes which turned out to be seafood surprise over tomatoes. Wonderful flavor. Complementary mini loaf of bread was tasty. However, do not order the hot coffee unless you like the weak flavorless type. What a disappointment after such a fine meal!

This restaurant isn't much to look at from the outside, but we had a pleasant experience here. The food was very good, prices were reasonable, service was attentive. As with other Chincoteague restaurants, we discovered that seafood options were limited for people with shellfish allergies. However, the daily special was mahi mahi, which my wife ordered grilled. I stole a bite, and it was wonderful. I got the crab cake with shrimp, which also was amazing.

The decor is ordinary. The setting is pedestrian. Prices are nothing special, and service is only acceptable. But go for that seafood. I had the fried oysters and cream of crab soup that made all the ordinary aspects of the restaurant secondary.

We weren't expecting much as the other two choices we were looking at were closed on Sunday night. This restaurant is more of a family restaurant but there weren't many people eating there the night we had our dinner. The fish was extremely fresh. The blackened Flounder was worth going back for a second time. We would recommend this restaurant!
