“Good coffee and pastries”
Reviewed August 29, 2014

There are only a few places in Chincoteague that have good coffee and this is one of them. You would think that a coffee shop would have a working restroom, but sadly each time I have been to this shop, the toilet was out of order. Also, don't plan on coffee after 5pm. They are closed.

“Pricey But What Can You Do”
Reviewed August 26, 2014

Coffee's OK but very expensive but I don't know where else you can go on the island. They have a lot of knick-knacks for sale, more interesting than the coffee. Jewelry, glassware, etc. Convenient, right at the Bridge. Staff guys were quite friendly.

“average coffee house- but interesting merchandise”
Reviewed August 22, 2014

The coffee selection here is nice and brewed well enough. Good coffee, not great. The chai was a bit weak. Yummy biscotti. The menu is very limited so be aware of that. There really isn't much in the way of coffee house on the island so I'm not sure what your alternative would be. The reason to stop here though is all of the unique merchandise. Lovely art, cards, clothing and housewares. Very artsy vibe and worth a look.
* warning for parents- this place is filled to the gills with breakable items, if you come in with children- be prepared. lots of beautiful things to touch...and pricey!

“Skip This Place”
Reviewed August 21, 2014

I have been coming to Chincoteague for 20 years, and there is a reason that I have only ever been in here once. The only reason this place is in business is because the bridge was moved. It used to come in over by Church street but they moved to Maddox so people wouldn't get lost going to the beach (its a straight shot). The point is this place is filled with junk and the coffee is frightfully expensive. I paid $5.14 for an ice latte that couldn't have been more than 20 oz. On top of that the two baristas were shouting at each other how "their people were at war". I have no idea what they were talking about but it was freaking obnoxious.
No thank you.

“Great art, clothes, jewelry and coffee”
Reviewed August 12, 2014

Charming mainstay for coffee while visiting Chincoteague island. Even my son refers to it as "mommy's coffeehouse" because he's been dragged there so many times. (I order him the chocolate chip scone and hot cocoa, both of which are fab.) The coffee is really, really good and the owners have put together a very well edited selection of art, jewelry, tableware and clothes.
