This has rotating exhibits. This month was about the old seafood business (shucking houses and oyster harvesting) . We loved it.
The museum is so professionally done. A must do.

This museum is small, but filled with all kinds of good stuff! We (especially my 6 year old son) loved the scavenger hunt. It had us noticing things that we would have looked over otherwise. There are truly some great exhibits here. Don't miss this on your trip!

This museum used to be called the Oyster Museum, but it's so much more than that. It's very nicely done, with interesting docents and optional activities to help engage audiences. You'll learn something and have fun at the same time!

We had to complete a hunt quiz with various items to find. The game was fun. We learned more about Chincoteague's history than we would by just looking around. Our completed quiz was put in a draw for a cap for the following month. We would have liked a guided tour but the front desk employees gave us hints and information to find the items on the quiz.

I loved the little scavenger hunt. They have added a lot of great information and displays in recent years, including Misty and Stormy (stuffed!) and a video about the flood of 1962.
