I stayed here with 2 adults and 3 children in the winter and it was perfect. The indoor pool and hot tub provided something for the kids to do. Hotel staff was friendly. We actually forgot two coats in the room when checking out and the maid came out to the parking lot to give them to us.

We travel to Chincoteague NWR a couple of times each year to photograph the wildlife. We always stay here and have never been disapointed. The rooms are super clean. The beds are comfortable. The staff is very friendly. The rates are resonable and every room we have stayed in has been supurb. Every room has a water view and balcony. They also have 3 huge Jacuzzi suites (one on each floor) in which we have also stayed. This suite has two couches, two TVs, A huge Jacuzzi, a fireplace and a wraparound balcony.

Attractive and comfortable; exterior and interior decor nicely different from other motels; located on waterfront with nice views from the balconies; exceptional staff.

For a romantic getaway, we booked a suite with water view from a wrap-around patio. It was not mentioned that they only have this type of rooms on the ground floor, and people on the pool deck fifteen feet away can look right into the room. While the room has a comfortable big bed, a nice fireplace and a huge Jacuzzi, the room's carpet doesn't look fresh, has an outdated chunky TV, and at least 10 flies flying around. The off-season rate for the room was still $300 per night. We don't think we got good value for the money at all.

Our stay was average or better, but the deal breaker for us was the condition of the exercise room. There was no air conditioner and the belts on some equipment were so stretched as to make them useless. We base our choice of hotel in great part on the availabilty of an exercise room. When we notified management both during the trip and after, we received no satisfaction whatsoever.
