Nice place to stay- newer, quiet, modern, dark rooms. Family of 4, 2 nights. Stayed in a 1 bdrm suite. Had 2 flat screen TVs, which was perfect for us! A few minutes away from Target and restaurants (not much within walking distance except McD's, strip mall, & gas station). Free hot breakfast was good and everyone enjoyed it.

We stayed here because we have not had electric since 8/27/11 Tropical Storm Irene. Our room was clean, and comfortable. A real home away from home atmosphere. There was a manager's reception when we arrived, and breakfast in the morning. So glad there is a Residence Inn nearby that has electric. Praying for power to return today, if not, we will be back.

My family stayed here for one night enroute to Williamsburg. It was enough room for a family of four. Having the kitchenette is always a plus...for saving money. The breakfast the next morning was filled with a variety of hot/cold foods. Something for everyone. Very pleased with the stay. There was really only one complaint... the bedroom curtains had a faint dog smell. I quickly fixed that with my Lysol spray that I take with me for all hotel stays. Other than this, the hotel is very updated and quite a bargain for the price.

This hotel is not in an attractive area, but it was a convenient stop between Williamsburg and Charlottesville. It is within a few miles of Hopewell and numerous chemical plants. We stayed in a two bedroom suite. The suite itself was clean, neat and spacious, typical of a new Residence Inn. We requested a high floor suite in advance and this is listed on our Marriott Rewards preferences; however, the staff claimed that they could not accommodate us. Desk staff were uninterested. Our suite was located next to the outside air conditioning units on the second floor, and you could feel the vibrations through the floor. The suite kitchens are well equipped and clean, but we found a plumbing part in our sink's garbage disposal. The breakfast area is not big enough to accommodate crowds and not well designed for flow of traffic. The breakfast was not replenished frequently enough. It was average for a free hotel breakfast.
