We stayed here for two nights over a long weekend. The inn was very conveniently located, close to major attractions of Charlottesville area. The hosts were great and the room was comfortable. Breakfast was definitely the highlight of our stay.

Stayed here on our honeymoon. Just came back on our seventh anniversary, and it remains our favorite Bed and Breakfast. Bob and Carolyn are the perfect hosts. If you are looking for a quite, romantic, high class getaway stay at The Inn At Monticello.

Room Tip: Loved the spacious room inside the first time we stayed here. And loved the cottage nextdoor even mo...

This B & B is ideally located - practically next to Jefferson's Monticello. It's also just off Rte 64. The Innkeeper and owners were welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were delicious - frittata Sat am and blueberry pancakes Sunday! The muffins - blueberry and peach were fantastic.
We were served wine before departing for our dinner, homemade cookies upon return. The front porch was a gathering place and overlooks the grassy front yard. There are 5 rooms in the main house and a cottage in the back. The bed was comfortable and tastefully furnished. The bath was just a tad small in our room upstairs, but was fine for a weekend.

Note: Restaurants in Charlottesville are really excellent. We dined at Orzo and the Ivy Inn.

Room Tip: Rooms on main level have patios. One bedroom upstairs has large hall bathroom.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Inn at Monticello for two nights. If you are visiting Charlottesville for the first time, The Inn at Monticello is a must. The Inn is right down the road from the Monticello and convenient to a walking trail up to the Monticello. The trail offers stunning views of Charlottesville. The Inn is also close to the best restaurants in Charlottesville, including Brookville and C&O, and minutes away from the charming downtown mall. And, of course, the Inn itself is stunning - located on several beautifully landscaped acres of land, it will take your breath away! Between the porch and several beautiful benches, there are a number of places to sit, sip your wine and enjoy the property. The rooms offer classic, warm Virginia decor, comfortable beds and, depending on the room, an amazing steam shower! We were so pleased with our stay - if you're looking to experience the best of Charlottesville, look no further!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Jefferson room, which has its own small porch from which you can explore the yard (and all the rabbits etc in it). Breakfast was very nice and it is great that you have the option of walking to Monticello if you want to.

We stayed four nights at this really charming inn, a magnificent setting but perhaps we might have been more suited in Charlottesville as we had to drive to our dinner restaurant each evening which is not ideal. If you wish to visit Jefferson's Monticello though this is an ideal location.

The inn itself is beautiful although we did not find our room particularly comfortable and did not like the small bed and very firm mattress. The bathroom was very good though with a superb shower.

Maybe we did not make full use of the grounds as we were on a business trip.

We did not like the fixed breakfast time which did not always suit us although it is nice to chat to other guests. The no choice breakfast was really not to our taste and a much simpler affair such as a few slices of toast and cheese (which we asked for but was not forthcoming) is more for us.

Nonetheless everybody was friendly and this inn is probably better for a shorter stay.

Room Tip: Nice for a short stay but four days is too long

We wanted something near Monticello and were very pleased with our experience at the Inn. The hosts were wonderful, the property is well located and comfortable, the breakfasts were nicey prepared and served. An excellent experience.

Room Tip: An upstairs room will give more privacy than those that empty onto the reception/dining area
