When in Charlottesville you must stay at the Foxfield Inn. My wife and I take a weekend getaway every year over the President's Day Holiday and this year led us to the Foxfield Inn.
Mary Pat and John go out of thier way to make sure you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay in C'Ville. Mary Pat greeted us at the door and started us off with a tour of the Inn and all the amenities. From the cozy rooms (ours had a fireplace) to the sprawling grounds you will definitely be able to escape whatever is troubling you.
Of course there is the food! There is the plate of amazing cookies in the hall that was never empty to the indescribable breakfasts! Be sure to bring your appetite.
The inn is off the beaten path but an easy drive to town or local wineries. Mary Pat and John will help guide you to great restaraunts and sights around town.

This B & B is among the classiest my husband and I have experienced. Our innkeepers thought of every detail that not only would be needed but also desired. One might expect the comfortable bed and bedding, the Jacuzzi tub for two & a 3 course gourmet breakfast. Add to that a gas fireplace and a Bose wave radio with CDs - that was like the icing on the cake. Oh, did I mention the inn is beautiful, spacious and replete with every amenity! Made for a great anniversary celebration!

Last week, we had the amazing privilege of celebrating our 15th Anniversary during a 2-night stay at The Foxfield Inn. John and Mary-Pat have designed, decorated, and maintained an absolutely top-notch inn. Instead of stopping there, they obviously put their whole heart into the hospitality they offer each guest -- from their sincere interactions and tested recommendations to the delicious breakfasts and immaculate Garden Room. The Foxfield Inn was the perfect backdrop for us to enjoy time away together -- we left there refreshed, renewed and rejuvenated!

My husband and I stayed at the Foxfield Inn for two nights this past weekend. It was our first weekend away from home since our 7 month old son was born, so we did our research and chose this inn based on the outstanding reviews on Tripadvisor. Mary Pat and John made us feel right at home! We stayed in the beautiful Hunt Country room, which was spacious and comfortable with tasteful furnishings and the most fantastic bathroom ever. We especially enjoyed the remote control fireplace and the huge jacuzzi tub. We even took a dip in the outdoor spa! Mary Pat and John served delicious breakfasts every morning, with all of the inn's guests at the table. It was fun to socialize with the other couples staying that weekend. Friendly and knowledgeable hosts, gorgeous surroundings, absolute comfort and attention to every detail....we couldn't have imagined a better stay! We only wish we could have stayed longer! We loved Charlottesville and look forward to future stays at Foxfield. We recommend this inn to anyone planning a trip to Charlottesville!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Foxfield Inn. Mary Pat and John Hulbert are gracious hosts. They have thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and memorable.
With the welcoming glass of wine, the robes and slippers in our gorgeous room, the refrigerator with bottles of water, the cookies and snacks on the coffee bar, the absolutely DELICIOUS breakfasts, the fishpond with a waterfall, the bird watching, and the posted daily weather forecasts, what more could we ask for! But with this we also got warm and friendly hosts who made us feel at home. They are very knowledgeable of the area and readily provide directions to restaurants, sights and shopping. Everything was so inviting and lovely that we hated to leave.
We highly recommend the Foxfield Inn and suggest the Garden Room.
