This was a charming location from which to do touring of the Charlottesville area and all its historic attractions. Although not a historic inn, it is beautifully and comfortably appointed. The hosts are cordial and helpful and the breakfasts unbeatable. A little pricier than some, but worth it.

Room Tip: Couldn't go wrong with any, but we enjoyed our room on the end next to the backyard porch because of its easy access to the grounds. Loved the bird feeder right out our window.

We stayed at Foxfield for our honeymoon weekend & it was perfect in every way. Our hosts Dan and Kathryn were excellent -- hospitable, knowledgeable, professional and detail-oriented. We had ordered champagne & a cheese plate for our room upon arrival and were very pleased with their choice and presentation. In the evenings, they provide a wine & cheese hour which allows guests to socialize (as well as homemade cookies to take to your room). Kathryn's breakfasts are wonderful -- creative and delicious! We also loved our room ... very quiet with a huge luxurious tub, bathrobes, turndown service and other touches that made us feel very well taken care of. We are already looking forward to returning to Foxfield for anniversary weekends! Definitely recommend the inn for high-level service, professionalism combined with a warm, welcoming friendliness, and attention to detail.

Room Tip: Location is great in the beautiful countryside ... marked as 4 instead of 5 simply because it does require driving back & forth to town for dinner. But it's a lovely and scenic drive.

Stayed at the Foxfield Inn with friends while visiting the Virginia wine country. The place is immaculately kept and yet very comfortable. Rooms are beautifully appointed and (unusual for a B&B) have excellent bathrooms / showers, etc.Believe the other Five Star reviews on Trip Advisor ~ this is a great place to stay, relax, unwind, and chill out. And, did I mention the great breakfast?

Room Tip: Stayed in the "Hunt" room; it is beautiful.

Kathryn & Dan are lovely, professional owners. You will be given a small tour & explanation of the house, grounds & room & then left alone, which is perfect.
The amenities laid out for the guests are excellent! Wine, cheese, crackers, cookies, soda, water, popcorn, etc. everything you need for a snack or movie watching.
Bathrooms are large & jacuzzi tub is wonderful & fits 2 quite well. They have little extras like bath salts & sewing kits, soaps, etc. that are of high quality.
Grounds have lots of little places to sit & relax or talk & a wonderful fully screened gazebo.
Breakfast was high class & scrumptious. Only drawback for us was we would have liked to get breakfast & sit alone & eat and this is family style sit down at a set particular time with all the guests. But most enjoy that I'm sure to mingle.
Only room drawback (stayed in Rose room) was that door does not seal room & large gap under door and not well fitting in frame so sound is NOT blocked. Whenever someone walks by or gets coffee outside room you hear everything & it's disturbing to think they can hear you. Otherwise room was well insulated & we did not hear other guests. Door needs to be replaced to fit better & probably those insulation strips installed to help with noise privacy since common guest area is right in front of Rose room. This was our ONLY complaint.
You will really enjoy yourself & town is a short 15 min drive away and vineyards & Monicello are short drives as well.
One of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in, hands down!

My husband and I just stayed for two nights at the Foxfield Inn. Wish we could have stayed longer. Fantastic bedroom - huge bed. Enormous bathroom with jacuzzi bath. Totally luxury - big fluffy towels, etc. Dan and Kathryn are great - breakfast was a "tour du force"! Nice gardens to relax in. Coffee and cookies provided. This is a fantastic place to stay at any time and a real luxurious treat.
