The inn is pleasant and has a professional staff, and is in a great location for visiting the local historical sites, but the rooms are greatly overpriced for the quality of the accommodations--and that's not counting the 18% service fee automatically added on. The inn serves dinner where the food is good, but in terms of quality and quantity, their dinner was the most overpriced meal of our lives, and we have traveled quite a bit in the US and Europe--and once again that's not counting the 18% gratuity that's automatically added on.
We stayed in the expensive Monticello Suite. The AC was unable to lower the temperature below 80F in the afternoon and evening, and we had to kill several wasps in the rooms. In summary the inn was a serious disappointment, especially since we had anticipated visiting it for years.More
