Visited Charlottesville to as a family weekend trip to see Monticello in March. Picked this hotel for its location and indoor pool. Very nice pool but small. Very nice and accommodating staff, clean rooms, reasonable price. When we visit the area again we plan on staying here.

I really wish I could have given this hotel 4 1/2 stars - or should I say circles? I recently stayed here for two nights on business. The hotel has a great lobby area, with a cozy fireplace and a large area for sitting. It was a very comfortable lobby area. I prefer when a hotel includes breakfast in with their rates, but I do like that they have a (small) bar in the lobby.

My room, as well as the rest of the hotel, was very clean. I also loved the walking/jogging path they have behind the hotel. Great feature! Another plus is that there is a steakhouse just across the parking lot. A couple of coworkers and I walked over there for pre-dinner cocktails. We didn't eat there, although, we heard the food isn't very good.

I would definitely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Charlottesville again and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the C'ville area.

Couldn't ask for a better hotel experience. We were in Charlottesville for a wedding. We had asked for a very late arrival. When we did finally get there, bleary-eyed and bone-tired, we were checked right in, the room was ready and even better than expected (see below) and we were able to crash and get some rest before the big event.

Our room had to accommodate 3 adults, one with some mobility and balance handicaps. Well, this was the best designed "handicap suite" we'd ever seen. (1) The rooms were generously proportioned so that there was ample space around the bed and furniture to use a walker. (2) We hadn't expected it, but there were two bathrooms, which proved very useful. Both were spacious, with well-positioned grab bars. (3) The main bath even had a Jacuzzi, and one that was very easy to get in and out of. (4) The two rooms were separated by a door for privacy, once again a thoughtful touch if three or more people are to stay in a suite. (5) Finally, the suite was close to the lobby and elevators to minimize the amount of walking required - once again, a very well-designed feature.

The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Everything was sparkling clean. Our room even had a view of a pond with a fountain!

Thanks for your kind review of our property, we understand how difficult travel can sometimes be for our guests and our staff tries very hard to help ease the trials that can arise during a trip. It is great to hear when our guests have the opportunity to enjoy the view of our swans playing in the lake behind our hotel.

When we arrived we were exhausted from travel. The front desk had all of our paperwork & keys ready to go. It took about 30 seconds to get checked in. Everything was excellent. abcdefghijklmnop - because they force you to use up at least 200 characters. These want a be web site guys think they are smart doing these things, but maybe they will learn that it yields negative results

Very good stay here in late March - about 15 minutes from the University. Located inappropriate bit of a business park setting. The steak restaurant across the parking lot is okay - nothing special. The staff serving breakfast were not very attentive. The beds are regularly mattresses in the queen rooms and the special HGI mattresses in the king rooms. Would stay here again.

Thanks for staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, our location, convenient to the interstate provides easy access to The University even during the numerous University sponsored events and the notorious Charlottesville rush half hour, we're also just a couple of miles from the Historic Downtown Mall with its numerous fabulous locally owned restaurants and shops.

Our team stayed here recently. This is a nice new hotel with up to date amenities. The hotel was very clean (almost all that matters). Also it was quiet, so it was easy to catch up on work -- the desk was set up for productive work.

The setting is a little different -- in a good way. Usually these sorts of hotels are plunked down near a shopping mall, etc. This one is on the outskirts of Charlottesville --- so away from the the older hotels. So the surrounding area is new, and there is a nice little pond outside. I didn't get a chance to walk around it but I envied another guest who did. Usually one doesn't comment positive on the "grounds" of a hotel like the Hilton Garden Inn.

The breakfast was terrific. Staff is very friendly. Here's a shout out to the nice guy who fixes omelettes on Saturday morning -- great job. There are outlets at every booth in the morning breakfast area, which is very 2013. Would definitely stay here again.

Only downside for two of the guests in our five room group: The refrigerator was too noisy. So I unplugged mine. And so did another guest. The fridges are too loud for sleep --- bad brand. Need to be returned.

Otherwise, a great stay. Only thing keeping me from a 5

"country setting" - we had a pond view, super clean rooms, friendly staff... perfect stay on our trip driving through VA. About 2-3 miles from a great place for dinner- the Clifton Inn- pricey but worth it! Loved our stay here.

Room Tip: Ask for a pond view
