Having passed this by on previous trips to Charlottesville, I was surprised when the period costumed hostess not only provided a generous pour of tasting wines, but was amazingly well informed. She handled the varied visitors with courtesy, wit and aplomb. The offerings of the chock a block gift shop were not horrible and priced within reason. Interior features a transplanted (non-working) watermill works.
