For truly fine dining, Tempo has it all. Locally sourced, quality produce, is something I am happy to pay a little extra for. The food is always cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Whilst on the slightly higher price level for Charlottesville, (and I stress slight), the prices are extremely good when you compare with other cities throughout the US.
The menus are well thought out with interesting and sometimes exotic combinations. I rarely order starter and dessert when dining out because I hate to feel stuffed when I leave. At Tempo, I find their portions to be adequate, and leave room for a vegetable and a dessert. (The Zabaglione is divine!)
The atmosphere is perfect, gentle background music which you can talk over! Drinks are also great - thanks to Justin's excellent service.
You will not be disappointed if you like fine dining.
