Best restraurant in Belmont. Forget Mas and walk up the street to Travola. great Italian home made pasta. Wait staff (Kyle) was great. Small and noisy. Sat.Sat at the farm Table and the four of us had a great time. Excellent wine list with reasonable prices.

“The food was good, not great, and not worth the price.”
Reviewed July 15, 2014

Read all reviews and raves and thought I have to try it. I guess I was expecting a really great dining experience but that was not the case. The wait staff was not the most personable. The Burrata cheese special had no taste and the bread crumb on the baked clams was barely browned and blah. The veal dish and the Branzino were good but the whole experience was very boring. Not even a piece of bread on the table for $93 without a tip, and this included just one beer and one dessert. Go to Sal's Cafe Italia in downtown square. Food really good, nice atmosphere and good prices.

“What a great local find....”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

We've dined here three times over the past couple years and will likely come back more frequently now that we live closer. It is truly a local establishment, so come as you are, expect no white table cloths, but very proper service and excellent dining. Normally I'd reserve a 5 for a white-tablecloth, silver and crystal venue...this is not that...but the food!!! Try their specials...some of the most finely matched incredients that I've ever tried with truly remarkable flavors. Their routine menu is also top shelf! There's a price for such a dining experience (relative to being sort of in the country...Charlottesville) but its definitely worth the price. Parking is an issue, but worth the parking hassle for the dining experience.

“Maybe the Best Italian in Virginia”
Reviewed July 10, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

No reservations taken at Tavola. We had a large group, but got in with very little wait at 6 pm. There is not enough room to go into detail on the appetizers, soup, meals, desserts, wines, service and atmosphere. Suffice to say it was one of the best Italian means I have ever had. The other six guests said the same! All the pasta and sauces are hand made. If I had one negative remark, it would be the patrons waiting like vultures at the bar for a table to open
