This restaurant is a unexpected jewel in a college town. 4 fussy ladies went to dinner here and ordered different drinks, appetizers, and dinners. Every meal got rave reviews and the drinks were spectacular. Only complaint was that the crab, corn bisque was not what was expected but was delicious. I was especially pleased with the value provided because I selected the restaurant. All entrees are $20. And all appetizers are $8. The servings were ample and none of us had room for desserts which looked fabulous. The ambience in the restaurant was perfect for a relaxing evening and the service friendly and professional. We will all be back!

Being from San Francisco my wife and I might be considered "food snobs." But when friends took us to Savour we were pleasantly surprised to find a wonderful gourmet treat in a Virginia university town. Each dish was beautifully presented from appetizer to main course to dessert. The portions were very large given the excellent quality of each dish the six of us ordered. The desserts were not only delicious but presented as works of art. This restaurant would be a hit in any major city, which made it a marvelous find in Charlottesville.

Savour was recommended to us by the hotel manager at the place we were staying. Although from the outside it looks somewhat unprepossessing, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal there. The food was great and the service excellent, and we thought it excellent value for money.

My husband and I attended Savour on Thursday the 13th of June. We were vacationing in the area and had not had very good luck involving a vehicle break down that hurt a good portion of our trip. Exhausted and famished we were directed to Savour for dinner by the nice woman at the front desk of the English Inn when looking for a place to eat that evening. We arrived about 20 minutes before the restaurant even opened for dinner and before we could even apologize or turn to leave our host/waiter offered to seat us, get us some drinks and check to see if the chef was ready. The entire staff was wonderful and accommodating. The food and service were superb! This was the best meal and one of the nicest parts of our trip thanks to your wonderful food and staff. Wish you were closer to our home so we could attend regularly. Thank you so much for a great evening and meal! Totally confused by these negative reviews....I sum it up to some people will just never be happy. I have worked in customer service for 10 years and know what it means to manage and run a great retail business and this place has my vote 100% great!

Excellent food, superbly presented, served by professional staff.
One of the top restaurants in Charlottesville. The owner is super-friendly.

A place for the gourmet, not suitable if you want to "pig-out" or need supersize plates.

Another review says that this place caters only to tourists. This is totally, utterly wrong.
