We stayed here for 1 night because we were in town to visit Monticello. The hotel looked new or had recently underwent a renovation. The hotel and room on first floor was very clean. The staff at the front counter seemed very nice and able to answer any Q's you needed. The breakfast area was large with multiple flat screen TVs. The attendant walked around greeting everyone. The coffee was hot + avail food was make your own waffles, bagels/english muffins, muffins (soft and moist), fruit, yogurt, etc... I would def stay here again if I were in town. Free internet incl Wifi in the room and breakfast area. Newspapers available as well. There is a food lion located next door. The drive to downtown or UVA campus was only 10 min and Monticello was roughly 15-20 min.

This was a very clean and quiet property, despite being close to a busy road. The mattress had passed it's expiration date and will hopefully be replaced soon, but pillows and bedding were superb. Breakfast offerings were varied and rather upscale for a Continental breakfast. The staff was courteous and upbeat. Enjoy!

Room Tip: You can request a room away from Highway 29.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. Great continental breakfast that even included boiled eggs, waffles and many other breakfast items. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was freshly and professionally redecorated, it looked great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a great hotel value.

My wife and I stayed here one night in February 2012 while visiting family. The room was quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable. The location was outside but close to the center of town. The breakfast area had just been refurbished and was quiet roomy. The breakfast bar presented many options both cold and hot. The hotel employee servicing the breakfast visited our table several times to ask if we needed anything and to remove plates (better service than any other hotel we have stayed in that has a free breakfast. The price was under $100 which is good for this area. Without asking, we were upgraded on our Marriott Rewards membership. Having stayed in several nice places in Charlottesville over the last several years, this is our choice for a pleasant economical stay.
