If you'd agree that Charlottesville has more than its share of Thai restaurants, but, unfortunately, few good ones, you may want to try Pad Thai. It's not fancy, but the food is fresh and it's priced at a point that most anyone could enjoy unpretentious Thai cuisine. There's a healthy number of vegetarian options, and the spicy choices are prepared with fresh hot peppers rather than the pasty add-ons that are so common in the other Thai restaurants in town. Because it's next to one of the top beer destinations in town, parking might present a bit of a problem, but it's worth walking a few extra yards to find friendly service and the comforts of a freshly made and reasonably priced meal.
