Great to visit when the weather is not too hot or freezing. Wonderful historian information. Every time you visit it you learn and see something different. It is decorated for the holidays as if the house is lived in. A great interesting peace of time to see.

The building was in good shape, and the history of its construction and renovation was fascinating. A number of unique features were present, such as a manual dumbwaiter system of bringing wine from the cellar.

What is not to like about Jefferson, the man, the president, the farmer, the scientist, inventor, architect and naturalist. Monticello is a wonder trip back in time where American's can see first hand what our founding fathers felt, saw, smelled and tasted.

iv'e been on tours of Monticello several times over the years as it is a favorite spot to take visiting friends and relatives. Every time the tour includes something new and different. every docent has a different story to tell that I hadn't heard before. They are constantly upgrading the site bringing new and interesting exhibits. A must see if you're even remotely close to Charlottesville!

See the home which displays so much of the intellect of the owner including many of his own inventions
