“Super! Don't miss this!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2013

We went on a Sunday morning and what a blast! Parking is $15 per vehicle, but free
to get into the Museum. If you love planes, engines, anything having to do with
flight, this is the place for you. They have everything from early flights to
modern day and the explanations to go with it on detailed plaques in front of
every exhibit...I took over 250 photos and I was only there for two hours.
The bookstore has great books for sale...so don't miss that.
Easy access for wheelchairs and those that need assistance.
I just love this place! Take your family and friends and enjoy!

They have an IMAX theatre which was a nice way to end the day watching a movie on that. Also the space shuttle is now there so cool to see. Also my favorite the concord so much cool stuff to see. Great time!

“Great Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2013 via mobile

This is definetly a must see for both kids and adults. The collection of planes, space craft and other aviation exhibits was great. The tour guides were extremely knowlegible. There were very informative and personable. The only negative was the $15 parking fee. Other than that this should be on your list of places to visit when you are in or near DC.

“Free Flying”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 25, 2013

The air and space museum is located right next to the Dulles International Airport. We visited this place day before Christmas.Parking is $15 but free after 4 PM,however the museum closes at 5:30PM. No entry fee for the museum. The main attraction of the museum is the Discovery Space Shuttle.Plenty of planes from World war era to the recent times are at display. My favorite was the SR-71 Blackbird. The museum has flight simulators too.The museum has an IMAX theater and its the biggest one I have seen in this area. The story of Hubble is a must watch. They do show high profile movies once in a while.Food and drinks are available.Guided tours are available.
