Description: Ciao Osteria is an authentic Italian eatery featuring delicious entrees and Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas made completely from scratch. Our goal is to serve true traditional Italian recipes made with the freshest, most authentic ingredients available, while making sure our guests are treated as family at our table. Chef Antonino believes you should never underestimate the power of a home cooked Sicilian meal. After many, many years of hard work in his kitchen, he decided to share his recipes with us. You can expect only an authentic taste of Sicily when you eat with us at Ciao Osteria. From the moment you walk in our front door, we want you to feel like you are a part of our family.. Buon appetito!

“My new go to Italian restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2014

Not sure where to start here but the experience was completely over the top from the time we walked in until we left. A strip shopping center for an authentic Italian restaurant? Well, YES! Sicilian to be exact. This is the real deal people. I see this as a go to Italian restaurant now. Good Italian is tough to come by but I really enjoyed this place, the staff and the owner Sal. The kids loved the pizza (it was fantastic) and we had chicken parmigiana and a seafood pasta dish. All excellent and then Tiramisu and a cappuccino, both may have been the best we ever had and we have traveled the country as well as the DC area in search of a great Italian restaurant. We went by yesterday to do some grocery shopping next door and see that they have a farmers market set up where you select your own veggies and they cook them. Small and cozy with a personal touch. Make reservations or you won't get in. You won't be disappointed.

“Great Local Italian Getaway”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2014

This place opened not that long ago, and it is a very nice addition to the local fare. Not only is everyone extremely friendly and accommodating, but there is a nice vibe that makes you feel welcome. The food is good, and the value is there. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice evening out with friends.

“Great find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2014

I have a difficult time finding good non-Asian food in this area so I was so happy to find this restaurant. They have a great menu with a wide selection of Italian food. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. I had 1/2 a salad and the Ciao pizza. I will definitely come back to try out some of the other items. In addition, the decor was charming and comfortable. Plus the service was outstanding. Our food came out in a timely manner with just the right amount of time between the app and the main meal. The staff was SUPER nice and attentive. I had an wonderful dining experience.

“Great new Italian and Wood Fired Pizza in Northern Virginia”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2014

This restaurant is an unexpected gem in a local strip mall. It is a small sit down Italian restaurant with a great varied menu and delicious wood fired pizza. My daughterand I were pleasantly suprised. It's nice to have a great italian meal at a locally owned place rather than the large chain restaurants. My daughter and I ordered 2 different pizzas. Ciao specializes in very thin crust pizzas cooked in a woodburning pizza oven imported from Itlay. Slightly burnt around the edges and appropriately crunchy. They were able to accomodate my need for a gluten free crust. As gluten free crusts go it was OK. (They are never very delicious) but it was a great conveyance for their wonderful San Marzano tomato sauce and toppings. They seem to have a wide variety of creative pizza toppings. The staff was quite friendly and we were seated quickly. Service was well timed.

“New Italian gem in Centreville”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2014

Word of mouth is already filling this little, red-brick-lined osteria after opening two months ago. Food is delicious and the portions are comfortably sized. Everything we asked about that might be made elsewhere is made on site - the mozzarella di bufala, all the deserts. Taramaso to wonderful - light, flavorfull, but not saturated with liquid. Take a minute to chat with Sal, the owner. Italian-born, but wore a USAF uniform. Well worth a visit. The kind of place you can easily call your favorite local for Italian.
