This waterpark is an ok place to spend a day. But, it's dilapidated and dirty, and needs a makeover. The park itself consists of a large toddler wading pool with slide, a sand play area, a huge, rambling pool with a few small straight slides, a splash pad playground area, and two large waterslides. You have to be 48 inches to ride the big slides. The swimming is fine. Great staff, friendly, attentive lifeguards.

No outside food or drink, and they check your bag. Snack bar prices are reasonable, and they have burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, pizza, fries, chips, drinks and ice cream.

My complaint is that the whole park seems worn out and dirty. The sand pit has three "digger" machines, but only one works, so the kids wait all day for a turn and fight over the working toy. There is a lot of mold, algae, dirt, trash and broken concrete on the slide / play area in the middle of the pool and around the pool area. There's an inch of algae growing behind the mermaid at the entrance where you take a picture. The floors in the bathroom are disgusting. Five people, one hour, and a couple of pressure washers would make a HUGE difference.

Until they update, the AV Symington Aquatic Center in Leesburg, VA is a better choice.

I will never go again! It was terrible and boring and even not safe! The slides were just good for infants as adults had to walk on it not slide on it! The bottom of the pools were made of rough cement that scratched my nee and elbow!!

The main pool is a series of overlapping circles and looks very nice. The decks are wide with lots of chairs and umbrellas, and some shade. My kids, 12 and 13, loved the slides and the enormous bucket that dumps water on you. It's also nice that the water park is set in a forest -- very green all around. The changing and snack facilities are kind of disgusting, though. The snack bar absolutely reeked of Pinesol -- good they were cleaning but VERY unappetizing. The changing areas are also not very clean. However, my kids really had fun so we will probably be back.

Considering it cost $8/adults and $6.75 for kids, (2 and under were free), it was pretty affordable to get in. There is a big sign, close to the entrance, posted that list their rules and regs, and it does say no outside food or drinks allowed. You also can't bring in arm floaties either. When you check in, they do search your bag. They allowed me to bring in my bottled water, but not my juice boxes. I did have some snacks (fruit snacks and rice crispie treats), that she didn't find in my backpack when she searched. It would be nice, if they listed the rules/regs on their website.
The pools itself are pretty nice. There's a main pool area, a baby pool, and a "playground" like waterpark, where there's a huge bucket that collects water, than dumps it on to the ppl below. Each area has slides, some big and small. A lot of areas with shade, which was nice. They did have a lot of life guards, which was really good too.
The also have a huge sand box near the baby pool, which really puzzles me. Why would they do that. I'm sure plenty of those kids, go straight from there to the pool w/out rinsing off. Which is why, you'll get sandy feet in some areas, areas that aren't even close to the sand box. Pretty dumb, if you ask me.
They do have a cafe, which sold hot dogs, hamburger, fries, drinks, ice cream, pizza, chicken tenders, and more, with normal prices. Hot dogs were $2.50, personal pizza was $4, and fries were $2.75. We got the hot dogs and fries, which were fine. Really tempted to get the funnel cake for $4, but resisted in the end.
My kids had a great time. It was really busy when we went, on a Wed, because a few summer camps brought their kids there as a field trip. Would we go back, most likely. It also helped that I had a coupon from the Entertainment book too (for a free admission).

Although affordable; this place is very poorly managed. No outside food or drinks allowed but they don't have that anywhere on their website or a sign before you enter. Every aspect of the park is handled by one rude teenager after another. They won't allow you to bring in any snacks (even for my baby) but yet, their concession stand is out of stock on half of their items and they have no food ready to sell...eventhough it was noon. There was not one single person on their staff that wasn't a teenager and that wasn't rude. They were all unfriendly, not helpful, and completely disrespectful. There are too many other affordable waterparks in the area to even consider coming back here.
