“More of a Lavender Garden but cute”
Reviewed June 8, 2013 via mobile

We went to visit Seven Oaks during opening week this year. Many bushes were not yet blooming. I would say it is more of a garden than a farm. My daughter loved the baby bunnies. It's definitely a pleasant outing, but small in scale.

“A Joke”
Reviewed June 12, 2012

I am from Europe, and i now what a Lavender field looks like. But this is not a Farm it's a joke, you have to pay $ 6 to walk between 40 bushes of Lavender. To cut a stem pay extra. We went there on the first day of opening. Can't imagine what you see after 2 weeks when all people had cut the stems.

Sorry you weren't happy with your experience. We do have around 500 plants...although in the very early part of the season not many are blooming. We charge an entrance fee which we feel is reasonable for children and adults (and if you keep your eyes peeled or sign up on our newsletter on our web-site we always run a Living Social/Groupon deal for half off entrance and a bit more thrown in.) We do charge per stem if people want to take some home...but some people don't want to pick lavender, they just bring a lunch and enjoy the countryside. An entrance fee allows us some income in that case. In season we serve lavender-mint iced tea, have our lavender shop open with over 50 products (no entrance fee to shop), have baby goats or bunnies to pet, a really nice children's playhouse and friendly staff to talk to you about the lavender. All in all we feel that for around $20 a family it is a nice outing in the country.

“Great time, but limit expectations”
Reviewed August 5, 2011

Went out to Seven Oaks Lavender farm with a friend. We had a great time, but I was expecting an entire FARM of lavender. It was about 40 bushes of different types of lavender, but not as many as I expected. The ladies are super nice, the rates for cutting are exceptionally reasonable, the gift shop is amazing, and it is something fun to do with small children.
