“What A Great Find”
Reviewed May 5, 2012

We stopped in for a bite while riding our motorcycle on the Eastern Shore. My wife had a crab cake sandwich and I had a fried oyster sandwich. Both were delicious. They are very generous with the amount of crab in the crab cakes. The sandwiches were served with french fries.

They were fairly busy when we arrived, but the line at the counter moved quickly and the food was served in short order. There were a couple of servers working the floor. Both went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and make sure that everyone's needs were met.

We now have an excuse to drive over to the Eastern Shore.

“Dissappointed with the experience”
Reviewed May 1, 2012

Decent food, a little overpriced for fried fare, but it is on the Eastern Shore and one-of-a-kind restaurant for that area. However, my wife and I were horrified at our experience with the service staff, as follows: We place our order at the counter with a staff member who seemed new and unfamiliar with the selections, but that was fine, it happens and folks have to learn the ropes. We were offered side dish selections, which apparently were not actually supposed to come with our meals. We found this out upon the server bringing out our food with French fries replacing all of our sides. Concluding that the mix-up happened at the register, we mentioned this to the server, and she asked what side we really wanted if we had to pick one. My wife wanted the greens, and the server left, then returned a few minutes later with the greens. Then she proceeded to say “I’m sorry, but the chef is really raising a stink about this, and wanted me to take the French fries back if I give you the greens.” Then, without any warning, or asking if it was okay, the server reached toward my wife’s plate, grabbed all of the fries with her bare hands, and went back to the kitchen. Needless to say, we were shocked. I’ve never seen a restaurant employee use their hands to scoop food off a customer’s plate before. After getting home, I emailed a comment about this to the management, but never received a reply. Needless to say, we do not intend to return, but hopefully our experience was not the norm.

“Greasy Spoon”
Reviewed April 23, 2012 via mobile

This eatery is an adjunct to an Exxon convenience store. It is a walk up, order at the counter, greasy spoon. The clientele is largely local and almost universally morbidly obese. Eat here and you will know why. Most of the food is fried and even those entrees that can be ordered broiled are accompanied by 5 pounds of side orders. Top it off with a Breyer's ice cream selection. Food is good, not great. Service is what you'd expect from an order at the countr establishment.

“Definite Eastern Shore Destination”
Reviewed April 14, 2012

Service is mediocre due to the relaxed style of the Eastern Shore, but if you like seafood, you must stop! Plan on spending around $10 per person. In addition to the restaurant they have a small convenience store and cheap gas!
