Located just out of town, the King's Inn is an outstanding property with a most gorgeous water view. Well-maintained historic building situated in beautiful and quiet setting. Great room (a suite, actually) with a view and beautifully furnished. Had good dinner outside on the porch facing the drop-dead view and sunset. Would definitely return.

A huge thank you to Dawn and her staff for creating such a magical day for me and my family. Food was fantastic! Services were excellent. Bravo!
I had to plan a wedding in Cape Charles from Nashville, TN. It was not an easy task, but Dawn and her team helped me every step of the way. The location is fantastic and the house is immaculate.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are great - but I loved staying in the Mary room - the bed is delicious!

My husband and I spent the last weekend in April at Kings Creek Inn and enjoyed the natural beauty of the water, surrounding grounds, abundant birds and perfect weather. The Edward Suite was very comfortable, even providing a long bath in a claw foot tub placed by a large private window that overlooked Kings Creek leading to the bay. Service was excellent and the staff was flexible in preparing meals, drinks and snacks to please us, not rigid in their offerings or hours. The food and drinks were very good, always prepared fresh when we were ready. We will stay there again when we travel to the Eastern Shore and without hesitation highly recommend Kings Creek Inn.

Room Tip: The water views are beautiful and the private balcony had gorgeous vistas. But we spent most of our time outside. We enjoyed the fragrant Bee Balm bushes as you walked down the steps of the back porch to the water.

Reviews by other T.A. contributors prompted us to stay at Kings Creek Inn on our way down the DelMarVa peninsula. We had the Mary Suite with the deck overlooking the creek. Service and comfort were superb. Other reviews have been very positive, and we concur.

Jim provided a great deal of history about the Inn dating back to 1747 and revealing that it was a burned out hulk not long ago. The craftsmanship in the restoration is most impressive.

We had a leisurely, delicious, breakfast outside on the porch, checked out the remnants of the tunnel (ask Jim), and dawdled a bit before hitting the road.

Highly recommended.

The Inn is in an idyllic setting at the edge of a creek with sunset views. We spent one night in the Mary Wilkins room which is spacious and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the water. We were the only guests that night but Dawn and Jim provided us with great food and great company! It was terrific to be able to have dinner in the inn in their unique restaurant. We will definitely stay there again, especially in warmer weather (it was very cold that day).

Room Tip: All the rooms face the water.
