For the quality of these 2 courses (along the bay) it is a bargain. Very helpful pro shop. The courses are good for golfers of all abilities.

Nicely designed courses (Palmer/Nicoulas). The difficulty level is high but the conditions and greens were very consistant.
Pro shop has everything and very helpfull.
Prices are up there.
Round fees are fair for twilight golf all you can play til dark.
Dining room closes a little too early

Plamer and Nicklaus course. They have one for members and one for the public (rotate). Both are as nice a course as you will find in Virginia.

Palmer is a bit more wide open, but still very challenging. Nicklaus is (in my opinion) a tougher layout and has more sand traps than I have ever seen on a course. I counted 17 on one hole. Both have holes that run right next to the Chesapeak Bay and are absolute stunning. Bring a camera.

Grounds are in perfect condition. All carts have GPS which makes it much easier for the first time that you play. Water on almost every hole and bathrooms on the course. Snack and drink vendor also makes regular rounds.

Worth the long trip to play here. Not cheap, but once you see the course it is worth the price.

The course was breathtakliong. Loved it. The restaurant was fine. Food and service could not have been better. The lady at the front desk of the golf course was both friendly and helpful. Hope to see her again in the future.
