Owner description: One of the best spots for bird-watching.

Kiptopeke state park is your basc state park. While it has dated ships anchored near the beach, us and the dog did not explore them. Instead we hiked most of the 4 miles of trails to include parts of the beach. NOTE: if you hike south on the beach from the Warbler boardwalk, you must hike out and back. If you think you can meet up with another trail after walking along the beach, you are mistaken. Keep walking along the beach and you end up on private property.

Otherwise, the hiking trails are well maintained and perfect for walking, jogging, and bike riding. At a cost of $4, its a grat place to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. If you are looking to camp or launch your boat, this is a typical state park and it looked very well kept, but it was Labor day weekend and we did not camp with the masses.

Very nice view of the bay from the pier. The beach looked beautiful. The huge chairs with LOVE was so cute. My husband and I had a great time walking around. Then we visited the little gift shop for a cold drink. The gentlemen working there was very nice.

Small clean beach. One accessible rest room area. One small gift shop with some cold drinks as well. Walked the raptor trail - boring. Nice getaway for a couple hours not the entire day. More enticing for fishing/boats at the pier. Only small fee for parking.

Great view, did some catch and release crabbing while we were staying in the area. Good place to watch the sunset.

This state park is located directly on the Chesapeake Bay. It's a great place to fish, hiking, biking and birding. This area is a migratory path for birds. Certain times of the year are better. Beautiful.....
