Description: The Drug Store Grill has really good food, is a great place to meet friends, enjoy dinner or go upstairs and enjoy an evening with friends watching the game. The best of southern hospitality and small town America. Come in and sit down a spell, you'll be glad you did!

Brookneal has re-made it's downtown and new businesses are filling the spots of stores previously left vacant. If you are in the area definitely stop in the Drug Store Grill for a meal. We ate dinner there and the menu was quite varied with many offerings. The sandwiches and entrees all delicious and plentiful.
Not far from Red Hill, Patrick Henry's home in this agricultural part of Virginia where tobacco was once king, but more recently other crops including wine grapes are filling the land.

The Drug Store Grill sits on the north end of Main St. in Brookneal and offers the best food in the area. They have dining accommodations both upstairs (groups, watch the game and relax) and downstairs (more cafe style).
They occasionally have live music, so the Drug Store Grill is more than an eatery, it a local gathering spot with entertainment as well.
Check out the website to see the events schedule for more info.

Their offerings range from burgers and fries to steaks, salads, soups, coconut crusted yellow fin tuna, shrimp and grits, alfredo, scallops, crab cakes, chicken. bison burgers, flat bread pizzas, etc.

Their wine list features local Virginia wines, domestic wines, and imported wines, cocktails and shooters.

As if all that were not enough, their staff is so welcoming and make you feel like family.

Hubby and I enjoyed the Rib Eye sandwich, with sauteed onions and mushrooms, the dressing had a little kick that really made this sandwich shine.
Hubby got a side salad with his sandwich and I enjoyed the sweet potato fries.

Our server, Russell, took such great care of us, and as we were finishing up, preparing to go back out into the hot sun (it was Brookneal Day in the Town- great free family fun- don't miss it!) he made my last sweet tea refill in a to-go cup so I could take it with me.

My only regret: no room for their home made desserts.

Check out their website for hours because they are not open Mondays and Tuesdays...
