We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely B & B. It was our second stay & we plan to return again next year. The log home is beautiful as is the setting. The only hard decision is whether to sit on the back deck & enjoy the mountain view or to sit on the covered front porch & enjoy the hummingbirds - hard to go wrong. Sally's breakfasts are delicious & abundant. She & Kevin are friendly, excellent hosts. We highly recommend the Cedar Post Inn!

Get ready for a peaceful, relaxing stay that is sure to help sooth out any stress you bring with you! Sally and Kevin are wonderful inn keepers that are enjoyable to stay with. They made us great unique breakfasts carefully thought out & prepared beautifully and also an evening dessert that was so enjoyable to eat on their deck. The views are beautiful and the lodge is really warm & cozy. We did come as strangers and left as friends! Can't wait to go back. =)

Room Tip: No pool or fitness center, but I had trouble with this web interface and it wanted me to check somet...

We just completed our second visit to the Cedar Post Inn and loved the experience as much this time as we did last year........as did our friends who reserved the second upstairs room. A beautiful setting on 70 or so acres of hills, forests and streams and more patio flowers and hummingbirds than I have ever seen in one place. Sally and Kevin are kind, gentle people who know when to give you some space, but are more than willing to step-up and join the conversation when appropriate. We plan to return to the area next July and have already asked that they pencil us in for both rooms! Keep up the great work!

Room Tip: Both rooms are private and upstairs at opposite sides of the cabin. Both are good picks.

We spent four splendid nights with Sally and Kevin in June. They are the most welcoming of hosts, attended to our every need and offered extraordinary generosity during our stay. Take a walk in the surrounding woodlands in the early morning and you will feel refreshed! Just be sure to make it back to the Cedar Post to catch Sally's home cooking while it's still hot!

Room Tip: Both rooms are attractive and comfortable.

My husband and I were driving up to Boston from Atlanta and wanted to drive a stretch of the Blue Ridge Parkway along the way. Consequently, we were were looking for a B&B close enough to the Blue Ridge Parkway which was also reachable in a day's drive from Atlanta. Not only did Kevin and Sally's home meet that criteria but it was so much more! Even though we were only there for 2 nights (we stayed an extra night because we liked it so much), it felt like our home away from home. We got in pretty late the first night, but Sally graciously let us in and made sure we were settled in before retiring for the night. The next morning, we woke to a lovely breakfast which we lingered over, chatting with Kevin and Sally and enjoying the beautiful deck with its abundance of plants. We also enjoyed walking in the meadow behind the house and along the creek and hiking some of the trails around the Peaks of Otter (Sally's suggestion). We were sad to leave and can't wait to be back! The warmth and hospitality of Sally and Kevin, their beautifully designed log-cabin, our spacious room, the natural beauty of the surroundings all combined to make a wonderful and welcome break for us! We will certainly recommend this B&B to all our friends and family.

Kevin and Sally, the congenial hosts, recently built their dream house, a modern log cabin, on acreage they bought a couple of decades ago. Clearly they built it with guests in mind, as each of the two upstairs bedrooms has its own bathroom. The setting is truly their home-- you sit at the dining table chatting with Sally while she prepares your delicious breakfast in the open kitchen. The views of mountains and meadows from the living room, dining area, kitchen and deck are spectacular. A sparkling creek rushes through the property. Wildflowers bloom abundantly. Hummingbirds feed not four feet from your nose. In the evening the fireflies put on a great light show. A herd of deer grazes in the meadow, an opossum ambles by. We had no trouble getting our touring motorcycle up the long well-graded gravel drive.

Room Tip: If you are a foodie or just want interesting dining, make your reservations Wednesday-Sunday. Sever...

We only stayed 1 night, but it was sooo relaxing. You get the serenity & great views that only the country can give....clear views of Tobacco Row Mountain, deer, birds & bunnies, a bubbling brook, & colorful plants. The large, spacious log home is very clean and inviting with numerous interesting nick nacks, stained glass, etc. Our room and bathroom were large, quiet, & inviting. We enjoyed visiting with Sally & Kevin especially on the relaxing back deck. The breakfast of mixed, fresh straw, black, blue, & raspberries with Greek yogurt and grilled cheese, ham, w/fried egg on top, & coffee kept us satisfied all morning. I will tell all my friends about this beautiful spot!
